Сюжет: Мрачный и задумчивый Тайлер переживает смерть старшего брата. При этом – любит сестру и не может найти общего языка с отцом. При необычных обстоятельствах он знакомится с девушкой…
Мое мнение:
Мутное кино, способное понравиться наверное только фанаткам Паттинсона, который весь фильм ходит с якобы печатью скорби и надвигающейся смерти на лице, а на самом деле – с ничего не выражающей физиономией. Типичный отработанный взгляд исподлобья, небритость и мятая бесформенная одежда вызывают неприязнь, уж извините меня, фанатки 
. А пиво и сигареты, которые, наверное, должны усугубить романтичность образа, – не впечатляют. И фраза «от тебя пахнет пивом и сигаретами», звучащая в фильме несколько раз, только смешит.
Что касается сюжета и «философии» фильма. Эта философия, для тех, кто не понял, озвучивается зрителю еще раз в конце. Что-то типа «если ты человек маленький и незаметный, все равно твое дело может быть нужным и для кого-то значимым». Мол да, все мы живем не зря. Ой, так ли? Не надо лукавить…
И к чему тут башни-близнецы? Да, трагедия. Да, сочувствуем. Но к чему тут это? Уж разбили бы его на мотоцикле что ли, или болезнь бы какую нашли…
В общем, не впечатлило. Ни вялое действо. Ни «нигилизм» (герою Паттинсона до нигилизма как до балерины). Ни семейные проблемы, которые он-таки «решил». Выполнил свою «миссию».
И эта история с отцом девушки-полицейским. К чему?
А вот Броснан хорош, хоть уже и старый :).
